That was a well-written review and it quelled the tiny bit of curiosity I had, that left unchecked, could have led to me watching this film. How you felt about Drive Angry is pretty much how I felt about 90% of Netflix’s movies—it was either old, terrible, or both…or I’d already seen it. I enjoyed some of the runs of TV shows they had, but once I’d gotten through those, I was done with their service. Since then, I tried the Blockbuster @Home service that my employer, DISH, released and I like it much more. The content doesn’t get old because there’s a lot more options to go along with the streaming, such as video game and movie rentals by-mail, and a slew of HD movie channels. You may want to consider looking into it too, I think you’d like having the extra options too.

I just watched the trailer for this game on Steam the other night and was thinking how it seemed like a great re-imagining of the classic game genre. I would have picked it up right then if I had noticed the price tag! Thanks for the write-up. Hell, you can’t go wrong with 2.99$

Nicely written review. Nothing groundbreaking and it’s definitely of the rude and crude genre but I thought it was a really good time. Plenty of laughs to be had throughout and the main trio has great chemistry which really helps.

I think Megan made me laugh the most because she reminded me of my friend! Crazy and I know if I ever am down she is going to slap sense into me! I loved the whole movie though. Once I return it, I plan on seeing it again very soon. In fact, as a customer and employee of DISH Network, I know that on October 1, Blockbuster will release a Movie Pass that will allow users to stream all kinds of movies and shows right from their computer or TV! Additionally, there are thousands ofBlu-rays available to rent at no additional cost! Since it is available October 1, here is where you can get notified! That way, you can see Bridesmaids for yourself!

You’re not including team-ups? Sure Justice League: Crisis On Two Earths – as brilliant as it is – has a lot of characters to get your head around, but Ultimate Avengers did a great job of giving each character a good set-up and development.

Also, while I was surprised at how good Planet Hulk actually turned out, most people will remember the ‘Hulk VS’ double feature better – not for Hulk himself, but for the retelling of Wolverine/Sabretooth/Deadpool/X-23′s origin in the Hulk VS Wolverine segment. Think of it as the token Wolverine film you’re missing from your list.

You’re also blanking all the DC Showcase, a series of DC character films portraying characters who’ve never gained mainstream fame, or even had anything more than cameos in odd cartoons, but whos comics sell well enough to earn a ‘bonus movie’ honour. Do THEY earn the characters new fans??

Plus you should include the upcoming Batman: Year One (Oct 18th) in this, since it may very well be the definative animated feature of this genre you’re looking at studying.

I like this movie too… it’s certainly stand-alone but yet contains easter eggs to other Marvel properties and kinda sets up for bigger things (after credits scene!)

I really liked Blair Witch but had a hard time watching the shaky cam. I find that certain movies it doesn’t bother me i.e. Cloverfield, but others i.e. BWP or Paranormal Activity, it does.

This sounds like an intriguing concept for a film. Too bad it didn’t deliver. Great review!
